PetaBencana.id (Indonesia)

est. 2017

PetaBencana.id is a real-time disaster mapping platform for Indonesia. The system uses a novel humanitarian chatbot model to crowdsource disaster reports directly from people on the ground via social media. These reports are verified, sorted, and displayed on a web-based, mobile-centric map in real-time. By placing decision-making tools directly in the hands of residents, first responders, and local governments, PetaBencana.id democratizes disaster response, making critical information freely accessible to everyone.

The platform is trusted as a critical source for information and has been used by organizations such as Google, Uber, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pacific Disaster Center, the Red Cross, the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics and the Indonesian National Emergency Management Agency.
